Caring Hands operation, purpose, and daily functions:

The Caring Hands Pregnancy Center reveals God's character through our team of volunteers. We administer physical, emotional, and spiritual support to women and their families facing a pregnancy. By physical support, we mean that we give maternity clothes, baby booties, baby blankets, and layettes, and similar items to clients.

  • We provide free pregnancy tests

  • We give away pro-life literature, abortion education material, and New Testaments.

  • We communicate our belief that while there are several options for handling crisis pregnancies, abortion is not an option within the Christian context.

  • We provide education services and counseling aimed at affirming our belief that sexual activity should be confined to the relationships between a man and a woman in a bona fide marriage.

  • We partner with churches who wish to support the work of the Center.

  • We provide volunteer speakers to speak at classes and assemblies in schools on the subject of sexual abstinence.

  • We administrate a program through which our clients earn points by church attendance, self-education, and helping at the Center, and exchange those points for diapers, baby carriers, car seats, cribs, and other infant items.

  • We refer for ultrasounds, to other crisis pregnancy centers.

  • We serve only parents of infants, pregnant women, and women who want to find out if they are pregnant. We refer parents of older children to other Christian resources.

  • We operate a telephone ministry to clients who call our Center phone number.

  • We no longer provide testing for sexually-transmitted diseases.

  • We cooperate with the National Fatherhood Initiative to promote responsible fatherhood.

  • We make referrals for adoption and help prospective mothers make adoption plans if they want to do so.
